US DRIVES Stinks

The 32X USDrives CD-ROM drive that I purchased was inferior and barely lasted 2 months. I sent this letter to them:

I bought USDrives 32DY IDE (ATAPI) SN5S400139 for $60 on June 15. The guy I had to install it said this brand is known for failure, but as I had already bought it and removed it from the packaging, I had him do it anyway. He installed it the same day, and on August 28 I had to have it removed because it was dead. The store I got it from won't take it back.

I wound up paying $92.49 for the tech guy to take your dead CDROM out and install another brand because I needed a CDROM in my machine and could not wait for you to send me another defective one 3 months from now under warranty service.

So at this point I need to be reimbursed for the $92.49 that it cost me to get back to work. Attached are the receipts showing my original purchase and the repair invoice. I would appreciate a check made out for this amount made out to:

They wrote back to me and said I had to call the distributor for warranty service:

I did this and they gave me a RMA# and I will send it in and see what happens. I am sure all they are gonna do is send me another lousy broke-down CD-ROM that wont last 6 months. The $92.49 that I am out is probably a lost cause...
