Dear sirs,

I have a 4 cell Maglight that I recently tried to replace the batteries and found that the four D Ray-O-Vacs that were in there had corroded and are now virtually welded into place and cannot be removed.

Is it normal for these batteries to corrode like this and ruin the device?
