Publishers Pipeline RebateTrials
If you decide you want to give them a try, go to their website.

I have had several conversations with the owner who seems to have a legitimate business plan, gives very believable explanations for how he operates and actually returns emails when asked questions. I was not disappointed with this one. For starters, the quality of merchandise is 100% better, and I feel very comfortable sending him my money at this point. I am working on trying to get him to give me a statement that I will post here explaining how he operates and what he expects.

Checked on my rebate status and found "Check sent 02/27/01" for all five items.

5 checks received in the mail totalling $169.94! From start to finish it took 19 days to complete. I think we can say that beats 7 months. Here's the checks. I haven't even paid for the credit card charge yet.

On 8-14-01 I made another purchase, recieved it on 8-17-01, and mailed the rebate form off the same day. On 10-10-01 I realized I hadn't gotten the rebate so I sent the following email out:

Subject: my rebate

XXXXXX-001 Stephen Hawking's Life in the Universe Open
I sent this package in to you on or about the 17th of August and your system still shows it in the OPEN status, meaning you do not have it. I regret that I didn't send it using some form of tracking so that I would know when you got it, but I do know that I did what was required of me. I completely forgot it till today when I got a newsletter from you. Can you tell me why you do not show a receipt for this submittal? Or what happens now that I have completed my obligation to
you for this rebate?

I got back:

Sounds like a postal problem, although it could have been a clerical error on our end. With so few redemptions coming in at that time (the number of items with "mail-in style" rebates at that time was nil, more or less), our former mail handling system had been shut down, so I do guess the later. As our regular check runs have ended, the best way to handle this is via direct credit to your card. I put that credit through a few moments ago and you should see the credit available on your card in about 72 hours. Best, Paul

Great service still!
