Dear Madwand,

Thanks for the opportunity to complain about my bad experience. I was going to write the corporate office but after seeing the other disgruntled customers ,I see that would be a complete waste of time. I think your web site is a better way to warn others, that your better off sleeping in
your car if your really tired than to stay at this ghetto flea bag dump!

We were returning home from Phoenix Az. back to the Bay Area. I was really tired and saw a Motel 6 right off the ramp. This was in San Bernadino, Ca. To start with the neighborhood looked just fine. There were restaurants and gas stations on all corners. So we felt why not stay
at the Motel 6. After all they are Nationwide, and isn't Tom Bodett a friendly kind of guy?

When we entered the motel lobby, a not so friendly receptionist asked can I help you. I said we would like to get a room for the night. How many she exclaimed. Just the two of us. I have a smoking room on the second floor. I asked if she had anything on the ground floor. She looked frustrated with the question. She looked on the computer screen, and said, I have a Handicap-Smoking room in the back. Ok I said we'll take that one, and I handed her my credit card. I need to see your ID. I gave her my drivers license. What's the plate number on your car? I got that for her also. I signed in and we went to our nightmare!

When we walked in the room the first thing was the smell. Not that it was a smoking room, but just unclean. The bedspreads were soiled and the blankets were tattered, the sheets smelled. The furniture looked like the Goodwill Industries rejects. Scratched and just Funky. The TV wasn't bad and we did get cable. But the bathroom was something else. The tile was old and chipped, the shower looked condemned or should be, and the sink leaked. On top of that, the place had cockroaches in the bathroom area. One of the lights was out. Other guests if you can call them that were right
out of Court TV, or Cops. People were hanging out all night, and I ended up keeping an eye open on the car, because we had stuff in it. I never
travel without taking a gun, and that night just reinforced my belief in it. My .357 Snub Nosed Revolver was inside my boot on the floor next to the
bed. Speaking of beds.....I did lie down on it , but I slept when I could with my pants on. So did my wife. I will never stay at a Motel Six again. I was going to write the corporation, but after reading the complaint section, I thought it would be more beneficial to take up on your web site.
