- Here's another issue to
hate Memorex about. Their quality of their CDR
disks are inconsistent! I started buying them
when I just got my CDR drive, and they were
silver topped. One disk out of three doesn't
work. Well, I figure that's standard for a CDR,
and I eat the loss. Then I buy more and the disks
have a fancy gold label. These are great. I went
through 150 gold disks and not one problem. I
finally run out and buy more, only to find the
store only has the silver topped disks. And once
again, one disk in three doesn't work.

- I called Memorex and got a
VERY defensive tech support guy. No help, except
he wants me to send him my defective disks to
memorex for replacement. My disks sometimes have
my backup on them. I'm not sending them out, and
certainly won't tolerate this kind of default
rate.

- I used to use their audio
cassettes all the time, and was very pleased with
the quality. But their CDR disks are so bad, I
doubt I'll buy any kind of Memorex product again.
