This is what happened when I pulled the carbon fiber over my mast. It had one coat of epoxy dried on it at the time, which made it a little easier to slide on.
Here it is wrapped in packing tape, sticky side
out. This cleaned it up a lot. It was
nasty looking when I finished wetting it out.
It's also being straightened here with sawhorses pushing it into
shape, it was a little bowed.
After unwrapping and sanding. You can see where some of the strands didn't cover wood.
As straight as I could get it...
